MICAH 5:2 Complete Jewish Bible

Micah 5:1... Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

But you, Beit-Lechem near Efrat,so small among the clans of Y’hudah, out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra’el,whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times.

Neither is there SALVATION in any other; for there is NO OTHER NAME+ under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

That at the NAME of YESHUA+ every knee shall bow, of beings in Heaven, beings in earth, and beings under the earth; and that every tongue should proclaim that YESHUA+ MASHIYACH+ is LORD, to the Glory of ALAHA, His+ FATHER.
Philippians 2:10-11

# 10 -- ADVENT MEDITATION -- GENERATED by The FATHER

GENERATED by The FATHER

Naturally-speaking, there is a NINE MONTH difference between when someone is GENERATED and when that same person is BORN.

ADVENT MEDITATIONS
to remember the Incarnation of the LORD JESUS CHRIST,
EMMANUEL ~  GOD with us.

But as many as received HIM+,
to them gave HE+ power (authority )
to become the sons (children ) of GOD,

even to them that believe on His+ Name:

Which were born*
[that is, GENERATED ]
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
but of GOD.
John 1:12-13

GENERATED,  not "born" , is the Greek verb here.

[ See Strong's # 1080 ]  Genna0, the Greek verb here,  is only used as "born" as an extended meaning, that is, when used in the context of a woman, a mother. Primarily, it means generated, procreated, begotten, FATHERED, sired.]

Naturally-speaking, there is a NINE MONTH difference between when someone is GENERATED and when that same person is BORN.

Generated means fathered, sired, begotten , procreated.

This verse tells us there are THREE ways that babies are generated, (begotten, fathered, sired )   which do NOT make them the children of GOD.

That is, there are three earth-bound, man-motivated, flesh-oriented ways  that babies are generated and NONE of those ways make one a child of GOD !

Which were born*
[that is, GENERATED ]
not of blood . . .

NOT OF BLOODS . . .  The Greek has it plural, as does the Latin. Plural "bloods" makes this phrase incomprehensible for readers of English. Perhaps it refers to procreation for the sake of the tribe, i.e., to continue the population of a tribe or tribes . Hence, the plural of "bloods."

Plural or singular, not of blood, may refer to the generating of a baby for the cause of producing a descendant to continue the family line or tribe.

This would be in regards to the Mosaic Law which instructed a man to take his brother's widow and raise up seed in his brother's name. This was to ensure that the dead brother's name would not be lost among the tribes of Israel.

Even so, being generated in this physical way via this human motivation does NOT make one a child of GOD.

Which were born*
[that is, GENERATED ]
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh . . .

Nor of the will of the flesh . . .  This seems to be referring to babies generated from acts of lust, passion, or even violence of the flesh.

And here, we witness the great love of GOD for the human race, HIS highest creation.

In HIS eyes, even a baby conceived by unlawful violence is PRECIOUS to HIM. GOD set in motion the laws of nature, knowing full well we would befoul ourselves with this freedom and abuse the process of procreation.

Even knowing this ahead of time, GOD does NOT nullify the laws of natural procreation which HE HIMSELF set in motion from the beginning of human existence.

That innocent baby is as PRECIOUS to GOD as the well-planned heir --- also an innocent baby ---  to a king's throne.

Thus, GOD is present during every act of procreation, regardless of the circumstance, and HE gives the spark of natural , human life to procreate a new baby in the womb.

Think of it: There are THREE present during EVERY act of procreation: a man, a woman   . . . and GOD.

Regardless of circumstances of fleshly passion, lust, or violence, being generated in this manner does NOT make one a child of GOD either.

 Which were born*
[that is, GENERATED ]
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man . . .

The will of man may simply refer to a married couple whose motive is the natural desire to generate babies for their own family or procreate off-spring.

Needless to say, being generated by man to raise a natural family does NOT make one a child of GOD.

Which were born*
[that is, GENERATED ]
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
BUT OF GOD.

John 1: 13 tells us clearly that GOD generates children who receive CHRIST JESUS as LORD. Generation is the conception of new life.

So then . . . how do we become "born" ?

If we are conceived by being generated out of GOD when we receive CHRIST JESUS as LORD, how and when do we become "born" ?

 JESUS answered,
Verily, verily, I+ say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water
and of the SPIRIT,
he cannot enter
into the kingdom of GOD.
John 3:5

JESUS answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I+ say unto thee,

Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of GOD.
John 3:3

Let Us Pray:

HOLY FATHER, FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and Our FATHER Which art in Heaven,

I thank YOU for setting in motion my natural conception and for bringing me forth from my Mother's womb, to be born in due season.

Thank YOU for generating me and then bringing me forth into the waters of Baptism, to be born anew, born from above, born of Thy SPIRIT.

Thank YOU even more for sending Your Beloved SON+ JESUS CHRIST to accomplish this new thing in me and in the Brethren: CHRIST living in us, the Hope of Glory.

HE+ is my EMMANUEL+, O LORD.

GOD-with-us, so long promised to Your ancient people, came to us, became like us, yet without sin.

So that I could come to YOU, O FATHER, becoming like Your SON+, washed clean of my sinful nature through His+ Blood.

Blessed are THOU, O LORD ! May our EMMANUEL ever reign. Come quickly , LORD JESUS. Maranatha !
+  +  +

Now unto HIM+ Who+ is able to keep you from falling,

and to present you
faultless

before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy,

To the only wise GOD our SAVIOR,
be glory and majesty,
dominion and power,
both now and ever.
Amen.

Jude , verses 24- 25
