Messiah Ben Joseph ... REVISITED... a Corrupt Identity

The book of the genealogy of YESHUA+  HA MASHIYACH+ the son of David, the son of Abraham... ( Mt. 1:1) ...The beginning of the GOOD NEWS of YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+ the SON+ of ALAHA ( Mk 1:1) ...And YESHUA+ was about thirty years oldand was thought to be the son of Yosip ( Joseph ),the son of Heli. (Luke 3:23 ) ...In the beginning was the WORD+ ( i.e., Miltha, Logos)and that WORD+ was with ALAHAand ALAHA was that WORD+.

Throughout the "golden, best, and historic" translation ( according to reviews ) of a modern Aramaic to English version of the New Covenant, YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+ is consistently referred to as "Messiah Ben Joseph."

Supporters promote this claim as being consistent with ancient Jewish writings which said there seemed to be two Messiahs, a suffering ONE+ and a triumphant ONE+. Hence the teaching developed that YESHUA+ would be as Joseph, Jacob's son, sent forth to suffer in advance to "save" the rest of Jacob's family and the Hebrew race from starvation.

[ We know Joseph did not deliver the Hebrews from slavery because Moses did that, nor did Joseph deliver the Hebrews from sin ... because while we were YET sinners, YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+ , the UNblemished LAMB+ of GOD died for us all ! BLESS FATHER, SON+, and The RUACH ha KADOSH !] 

The odd part about seeing The SON of David as the Son of Joseph [ or Messiah Ben Yosip]  is that:

• 1) It is NOT established in Scripture, neither in the Old Covenant nor the NEW Covenant.

• 2) The seeming "similarities" between Joseph and YESHUA+ was NOT taught by YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+.

• 3) These seeming "similarities" between Joseph and YESHUA+ were NEVER mentioned by His+ Disciples, His+ hand-picked and hand-taught Apostles, under whose guidance and labor and martyrdom the CHRISTian church was established on earth.

• 4) And, it was NOT taught by any Pre-Nicene CHRISTIAN writers of the first 200-plus years. 

• 5) A Google-search reveals NOT ONE CLEAR nor CLEAN-CUT teaching of "Messiah Ben Joseph," but a hodge-podge of UN-Scriptural writings, theories, concepts, and ideas in the "spiritual" market-place ( the agora, if you will ) with NO SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT whatsoever !

Yet... some who call themselves Followers of YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+ are addicted to this man-made "theory," unscrupulously teach others so,  and promote this "theory" as truth !  This is done in the "golden, best, and historic" version of the Aramaic NEW COVENANT to a shameful degree.  

The Hard-Core Evidence

On page 576 ( mis-pag. edition ), footnote 5, Ephesians 1:10 clearly states what this "golden, best, and historic" translation promotes [ also in other footnotes and in at least one appendix).

That verse reads, starting with verse 9:  

" And HE has made us know the mystery of HIS will, which HE had before determined in HIMSELF accomplish   10)  in the stewardship of the fullness of times; that all things might again be made new in the MASHIYACH+ , things in heaven and on earth."

The editor / compiler of this translation states in the footnote #5 for this verse: "... The Apostles ( schlichim ) assumed YESHUA+ would return as MASHIYACH BEN DAVID, even in their lifetimes. "

The ERROR in IDENTITY being, of course, not on YESHUA'S + return...  but that at HIS+ return... THEN... at that point in time ... YESHUA+ would become MESSIAH, SON of DAVID !

Alas, this ERROR is not an isolated statement in this version; it is repeated many times in the footnotes.  The editor / compiler has devoted an entire appendix to expound this UN-Scriptural, erroneous identity of YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+. 

Scripture plainly teaches in OLD Covenant and NEW, that the true identity of The Messiah included: 

• HE +  was to be the son of David, as regarding HIS+ earthly lineage... through the line of David via his birth-mother. 

• Scripture and Pre-Nicene writers plainly teach that YESHUA+ HA MASHIYACH+ was born "the son of David."

• Scripture and Pre-Nicene writers clearly state that HE+ came as the "son of David."

Furthermore,

Everybody

knew that.

It was HIS+ identity so that the people would RECOGNIZE the Rightful Messiah, the Only-Begotten SON+ of GOD.  

Even the blind men knew this, who hollered after The SAVIOR+...

YESHUA+ ,

Son of David,

have mercy on us !

Others knew it too,
like the children who cried
"Hosanna!"

Even the stones knew it,
should they be called upon
to testify !

Yes, +YESHUA+ did indeed come the FIRST time as "Messiah Ben David."

That is why HE+ was recognized as the LAMB+ of GOD ( ALAHA ) that takes away the sins of the world.

And YES , HE+ will come AGAIN ... without changing HIS+ identity... when HE+ issues judgment to all those who love and make a lie !
