MICAH 5:2 Complete Jewish Bible

Micah 5:1... Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

But you, Beit-Lechem near Efrat,so small among the clans of Y’hudah,out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra’el,whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times.

Neither is there SALVATION in any other; for there is NO OTHER NAME+ under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

That at the NAME of YESHUA+ every knee shall bow, of beings in Heaven, beings in earth, and beings under the earth; and that every tongue should proclaim that YESHUA+ MASHIYACH+ is LORD, to the Glory of ALAHA, His+ FATHER.
Philippians 2:10-11

HEBREW ROOTS #2 --- Do CHRISTIANS Disregard TORAH and the Law of the Old Covenant ?

 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: but rather,
we ESTABLISH the LAW.
Romans 3:31

ALL SCRIPTURES COURTESY OF BIBLEGATEWAY.COM

All CHRISTIANS,
so charged by all the various
HEBREW ROOTS groups,
disregard TORAH and the LAW
of the Old Covenant .

Is this charge VALID ?

Christians
--- Followers of Y'SHU+ the MESHIKHA ---
actually love the LAW
because  we can see
Our LORD and His+ Character in it.

We see the RIGHTEOUSNESS and the HOLINESS of Y'SHU+ in all the ways of the Law of Moses, the TORAH.  We also see HIS+ Mercy.

We would ALL agree with this Law:

Thou shalt not curse the deaf,
nor put a stumblingblock before the blind,
but shalt fear thy GOD:
I AM the LORD
Leviticus 19:14

Even in the defunct Temple Laws and ordinances, we see HIS+ Righteous Standards: HOLINESS before The LORD is a serious matter.

According to TORAH, only the sons of Aaron, the great-grandson of Levi, were allowed to make an offering unto The LORD under the Law of Moses.

Even at that, the sons of Aaron themselves were screened carefully. Only the BLEMISH-FREE were selected to serve before THE LORD, according to the Law of Moses, the TORAH.

For instance, in Leviticus 21 we are instructed in the Law of Moses that any man with a handicap or blemish in his body may NOT approach to offer bread or sacrifices unto The LORD.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto Aaron, saying,

Whosoever he be of thy seed
in their generations that hath any blemish,
let him not approach
to offer the bread of his GOD.

For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish,
he shall not approach:
a blind man,
or a lame,
or he that hath a flat nose,
or any thing superfluous,

Or a man that is brokenfooted,
or brokenhanded,
 Or crookback,
or a dwarf,
or that hath a blemish in his eye,
or be scurvy,
or scabbed,
or hath his stones broken;

No man that hath a blemish
of the seed of Aaron the priest
shall come nigh to offer
the offerings of the LORD made by fire:
he hath a blemish, he shall not come nigh
to offer the bread of his GOD.

 He shall eat the bread of his GOD,
both of the most holy, and of the holy.

Only he shall not go in unto the vail,
nor come nigh unto the altar,
because he hath a blemish;
that he profane not my sanctuaries:

for I the LORD do sanctify them.
 And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

For those OUTSIDE of the NEW COVENANT,  this portion of the Law of Moses may seem cruel and hurtful.

The specific TORAH  --- given by the Hand of GOD --- may seem to be discriminating against the handicapped, who through no fault of their own, have been born with the effects of the Adamic curse MORE VISIBLE than the curse which remains upon the rest of mankind.

This is a strange passage and it casts aspersions on the character of The LORD.

HOWEVER.... After The LORD became flesh and dwelt among us, this portion of the Mosaic Law is much better understood. Followers of Y'SHU+ the MESHIKHA  know this portion of the Law is in keeping with BOTH the Holiness and the Loving-kindness of Our LORD.

This very portion of the TORAH

was given

to GIVE THE HANDICAPPED PERSON

HOPE ...

In JESUS,
in Y'SHU+,
in YESHUA+ ,

Because
EVERY PERSON IS MADE WHOLE again

through the Life-Giving BLOOD
of The LAMB+ of GOD.

When THAT happens,
that person --- handicapped or not handicapped ---
is invited to come BOLDLY
BEFORE THE THRONE OF GRACE...

From Hebrews 10...

For the LAW having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

...

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

.
Wherefore when HE+ cometh into the world, HE+ saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast THOU prepared ME+:
.

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
.
Then said I+, Lo, I+  come (in the volume of the book it is written of ME+ ,) to do Thy Will, O GOD.
.
Above when  HE+ said,
Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings
and offering for sin thou wouldest not,
neither hadst pleasure therein;
which are offered by the LAW;
.
Then said HE+
Lo, I+  come
to do Thy Will, O GOD.
.
HE+  taketh away the first,
that he may establish the second.

.
 By the which Will we are sanctified through the offering of the Body of JESUS CHRIST, Y'SHU+ the MESHIKHA, YESHUA+ HA MOSHIYACH, once for all.
...

...THIS MAN+, after  HE+ had offered ONE+ sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of GOD;

...

For by ONE+ offering  HE+
hath perfected for ever
them that are sanctified.
.
Whereof the HOLY SPIRIT also is a witness to us:
for after that HE had said before...
.
This is the covenant that I+ will make with them after those days, saith the LORD,  I+ will put My+ LAWS into their hearts, and in their minds will I+  write them;
.
   And their sins and iniquities will I+ remember no more.  Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
.
    Having therefore, brethren,
boldness
to enter into the Holiest
by the BLOOD
of JESUS, (Y'SHU+, YESHUA+)
.
   By a new and living way, which HE+ hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, HIS+ Flesh;
.
   And having an HIGH PRIEST+ over the house of GOD;
.
   Let US draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
.
  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE+ is faithful that promised;)

.
By following Y'SHU+ the MESHIKHA
JESUS CHRIST,
YESHUA+ HA MOSHIYACH

with our WHOLE HEARTS,

we ESTABLISH the LAW!

Therefore, the HANDICAPPED and blemished are NOT discriminated against in a cruel way in the LAW of Moses.

No indeed.

Instead, this is what occurs in the Mosaic LAW:

The PICTURE ever before everyone's eyes in the Temple --- which is a pattern of the HOLY things in the Heavenly realm ---  is that of a WHOLE PERSON,

unblemished,

un-handicapped,

.

making his offerings unto The LORD,
which is how
every single Christian stands before HIM+.
.
TORAH
is totally fulfilled
in Y'SHU+ ( JESUS, YESHUA+) ,
which is what gives EVERY handicapped person

great good HOPE ...

and an INVITATION
to each handicapped person

---  ( and also to those
whose blemishes may not be so apparent  ) ---

to come
and stand
before HIM+ NOW,
being made every whit WHOLE before GOD
.
through the BLOOD+ of our Ever-Lasting
HIGH PRIEST+.

+  +  +

Yes, Followers of Y'SHU+ do indeed ESTABLISH the LAW of Moses because the LAW is fulfilled to the uttermost in HIM+... and HE+ is the Living LAW in our hearts.
.

Amen and thankfully so !
