NOT Having Mine OWN Righteousness . . . Which is of The LAW

So   . . . you want to go back to keeping Torah ?

So . . . you want your OWN Righteousness 

instead of CHRIST'S ? 

[ Hmmm . . .   Not even the Apostle Paul wanted his own righteousness ! ] 

Some accept the SACRIFICE of The LORD JESUS CHRIST for their sins . . . and then leave HIM+ to go off to follow the Torah in their daily lives.

We have seen this happen several times. Yet, The LORD JESUS is to Whom+ we are to relate; we can have no living companionship with the Law, for it is dead, as the book of Hebrews tells us.

Inevitably, when someone tries to replace a living walk with Our LORD JESUS , Y’SHUA+, with the Law or Torah,

that is all he thinks about: keeping the Law .

His every action is governed by one thought:

 if he KEPT the Law.

The Law or Torah becomes his primary focus and he feels guilty if he mis-steps in any area.  Inevitably, the areas become more and more encompassing and more and more binding.

The LORD JESUS told us that , “ None of you keep the Law.” In that place, HE+ was speaking to the MOST Torah-observant, totally-focused-on-The-Law group upon earth who knew and obeyed Torah to the utmost.

Yet, they were not pleasing unto GOD. 

They, hating their own MESSIAH+, preferred to turn their faces from HIM+ and focus their hearts upon being Torah-observant. 

They would have rather kept their OWN righteousness which is of The Law . . . like the Apostle Paul did when being a Hebrew of the Hebrews, circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews, as touching the Law, a Pharisee.

We are not to be like them. We are not to mimic them in any way, for they were not pleasing unto the ELOHIM. 

Their Torah-observance did NOT bring them into companionship with the HOLY, Heavenly FATHER. They did not KNOW HIM, like Y’SHUA+ told them.

But HE+ knew HIM and NO-ONE comes to The FATHER but by HIM+, HE+ told us. It was a FACT.

We are to FOCUS on CHRIST, 

not the Law, not Torah.

We recall the Apostle Paul’s words, stating from whence he had come:

Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for CHRIST.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things loss

for the excellency of the knowledge of 

 CHRIST JESUS 

– Y’SHUA+ ha MOSHIACH+ ---

my LORD:

 for Whom+ I have suffered the loss of all things,

and do count them dung, 

that I may win  CHRIST,

And be found in HIM+,

not having mine own righteousness

which is of the Law

but that which is through the faith of CHRIST, the Righteousness which is of GOD through faith.

Philippians 3:6-9

If our minds be upon keeping Torah, they will NOT be upon The LORD JESUS CHRIST. The Law is dead; The LORD is Alive.   

And thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD

with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind,

and with all thy strength:

this is the first commandment.

Mark 12:30 ;

also, Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27.

Our focus, our heart, soul, MIND, and strength is to be focused on the ELOHIM . . . WHOM we NOW know through The LORD JESUS CHRIST , Y’SHUA+ ha MOSHIACH+.

It is good to walk CLOSE to The LORD JESUS CHRIST in a loving, faith-filled, obedient relationship to HIM+.  HE+ loves it when we submit our hearts unto HIM+.  

 HE+ makes His+ home within us via the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, the Ruach ha Kadosh.

When HE+ lives within us, then we KNOW HIM+  and find no need to fill up the emptiness by keeping the Old Covenant Laws.

The insecurity is gone. 

We no longer are wondering if we are SECURE in GOD. 

Because we are in the LORD JESUS CHRIST and HE+ has made His+ home in us, we have security with The FATHER . . . if we STAY with HIS SON+. 

Those important laws of right living before GOD and man will be kept automatically . . . if we walk with JESUS through life.

However, if we walk “with the Law” instead of with HIM+, we will find ourselves on the out-skirts of the ELOHIM and in the gun sights of The LORD GOD WHO gave HIS Only-Begotten SON+ that whosoever believeth in HIM+ should not perish but have everlasting Life. 

For GOD sent   NOT   HIS SON+ into the world to condemn the world but that the world through HIM+ might be saved. John 3: 16-17.

The Law condemns. [ Yes, it DOES condemns us, as well as the whole world, if we do not keep every jot and tittle.]

The LORD JESUS CHRIST saves. 

There is NO CONDEMNATION for us if we are IN CHRIST JESUS because HE+ fulfills the Law  for us.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them

which are in CHRIST JESUS,

who walk not after the flesh,

but after the SPIRIT.

Romans 8:1.

The Law , the dead Law,  simply cannot replace The Living LORD JESUS CHRIST, Y’SHUA+ ha MOSHIACH+.

We, like the Apostle Paul, owe no allegiance to Torah, but we OWE OUR ENTIRE LIVES unto the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
