Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;

because they received not the love of the TRUTH,

that they might be saved.

And for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion,

that they should believe a lie:

The veneration or adoration of a system of beliefs or philosophies or theories is the foundation of all cults.  
.

Oddly enough, the word "cult" is NOT derived from words related to darkness or hidden as is the word "occult."

Rather, "cult" comes into the English language from the Latin past participle, "cultus" --- which means "care " or "adoration."  We may recognize this past participle in the familiar term "cultivate" ~ to foster the growth of , to prepare for the use of something ( like , growing crops, for instance.) 

.

Members of a cult are impervious to TRUTH. 
.

They cannot weigh facts nor factual evidence. The cult members agreed-upon veneration of their system of beliefs, philosophies, or theories OVER-RIDE their ability to think dispassionately and objectively.
.

Their veneration of their belief system muddies all clearness of mind. 
.

They defend their philosophy in the face of all reason and sadly, in the face of solid fact.  
.

Oftentimes, cult members will not even be open to looking at the evidence that show their theories are wrong. Peer-group pressure is strong in a cult; individuals will not go against their perception of what the cult believes. 
.

We find this cult-like "group-think" operating in certain high-level academic fields, such as the medical profession and in other high-level academic circles like space studies, where theories are formed and FACTS are twisted to support the theory, instead of facts CORRECTING the theories. 
.

Evolution adherents in the sciences are notorious for ignoring the facts and promoting their erroneous theories.  
.

In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our GOD, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off:

for TRUTH is fallen in the street,

and equity ( fairness, rightness ) cannot enter.

Isaiah 59: 13-14

Even worse, this state of affairs exists amongst Bible Scholars teaching in seminaries of every kind, writing Greek lexicons, and those working as Bible translators across the globe.
.

    Now note well :  There are some Bible scholars --- as there have been throughout the years --- who stand on facts both historical and linguistic and who do NOT participate in a Cult of  Scholars who are perverting the Bible. 

.

These independent Scripture scholars hunt for the Truth as supplied in facts of grammar, Greek , Hebrew, Aramaic, and Latin  in the ancient Bible manuscripts. These facts are available to anyone who has the time and skill to find them. 

.

They consult the ancient Church Fathers and Early, Pre-Nicene writers to find references of disputed verses in their writings.

.

They scour the old lectionaries to see if disputed verses were to be found in the lessons of the ancient early lectionaries, which are oftentimes much older than the oldest  manuscripts of Scripture.

.

These noble scholars do NOT operate on a group-think basis but rather hunt for Facts themselves, verifying the truth or un-truth of the theories promoted by modern-day Bible teachers and translators. 

.

They publish their own books if they can afford to publish them at all. The accepted standard Christian periodicals disregard their works and research and will not publish them. Thus, they oftentimes publish their articles of research on the internet.

Regardless of their marshaling of pages of FACTS which are published, they seem helpless to stem the avalanche of lies trying to destroy the WORD of GOD.

.

The reason these Fact-finding Scholars seem helpless is because A Cult of  Scholars is in operation and has the approval of the Seminaries, the Christian publishing houses, and the Bible journals. 
.

One Bible scholar and former Wycliffe associate who is NOT a member of A Cult of  Scholars recently said that anyone opposing the "group-think" simply will not have his work published.  Christian periodicals and journals will not print his research.

.

Facts are meaningless to cult members. When faced with facts, they respond with theory. They VENERATE their theories above all facts to the contrary.  
.

 When faced with FACT, they resort to the other Cult Members’ writings to support their theory, and those theories are opposite the evidence of facts.  
.

Members of this unspoken, un-organized Cult of Scholars have distinguishing characteristics which inevitably set them apart as Cult members.
.

If questioned on any Scriptural issue with FACTS , they respond with anger. Others respond by mockery and question the ability and skills of the Fact-Finder who has confronted them.

.

Still others, true to the working of a Cult, refuse to engage the battle, claiming the Cult's philosophy is "their own belief" system, FACTS notwithstanding  !

.

This Cult of Scholars, in modern times as well as in older days,  is systematically destroying the Scriptures.  Here is one instance. 
.

Wycliffe and United Bible Society and the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) have combined forces to forsake the literal translation of the WORD of GOD, especially the New Testament.    
.

Yes, they have replaced "LITERAL" translation --- which is admittedly quite difficult to do from the Greek into a tribal language which may not even have a written alphabet --- with paraphrasing the WORD of GOD to fit into the tribal culture. 
.

The goal, it seems, is COMMON-NESS and a one-world Bible. With that goal, many hard-hitting Scriptures must be changed or omitted or marked as doubtful, so that all religions will find the Bible acceptable. 
.

This is not an exaggeration. 
.

The Cult of the Scholars is in dead earnest about changing the HOLY Word of GOD. 
. 

Eugene Nida ( of Nida and Louw fame ), a founding charter member of Wycliffe Bible Translators, met with Vatican officials in 1968 to set the groundwork for a common Bible for ALL peoples. 
.

In 1943, Nida began his career as a linguist with the American Bible Society (ABS). He was quickly promoted to Associate Secretary for Versions, then worked as Executive Secretary for Translations until his retirement.

.

Nida was instrumental in engineering the joint effort between the Vatican and the United Bible Societies (UBS) to produce cross-denominational Bibles in translations across the globe.

.

This work began in 1968 and was carried on in accordance with Nida's translation principle of Functional Equivalence.

This was to replace a Roman Catholic Bible  and a "Protestant" Bible , such as the King James Version, and to make a Bible that would be common property for both camps.

 Thus, plans were made in 1967-68 for a GLOBAL BIBLE.  [ Indeed, the KJV is on the forbidden-to-read list for Roman Catholics. See Chris Pinto's documentaries: A Lamp in the Dark and Tares Among the Wheat. ]

Nida developed a paraphrasing methodology called DYNAMIC EQUIVALENCE. [ or, re-named as the FUNCTIONAL equivalency method.]  This method forsakes a literal word-for-word translating to a method of transferring concepts according to the receptive ability of the Receiving Tribe or population. 
.

In other words, if a tribal people group in Alaska does not know what a LAMB is, then the LAMB+ of GOD is changed to seal pup, which fits into their culture.

.

One people group in northern India had their LAMB+ of GOD changed to "Cock ( rooster) " , because in the past they sacrificed a cock but never a lamb. This was the report of the Wycliffe translator. [ See David Cloud . . https://www.wayoflife.org/database/dynamic_equivalency.html  ]

[ Oddly enough,  that particular culture could relate to sacrificing an animal as a way to please their tribal god . . . something that most Western Civilization citizens have no concept of doing, in their  own culture. Yet, Western Civilization Christians can understand the sacrifice of the LAMB+ of GOD very well. 
.

Thus, even in this situation, DYNAMIC EQUIVALENCY  is un-necessary and an exercise in futility, confusing the purpose of translation. ]
.

Members of this particular Cult of  Scholars have another distinguishing feature: they reject the ability of the HOLY SPIRIT to lead them into all Truth.  
.

 Since they reject the HOLY SPIRIT themselves, they also reject that the HOLY SPIRIT can lead anyone else in the study of Scriptures or in the selection of the correct manuscripts and / or in the translation of the text.

They run to man ( i.e., the other cult members ) to see if a translated statement in Scripture is true or not. 
.


They do not depend upon the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT.  It seems they do not know the Voice of the HOLY SPIRIT. Their main concern is what the "group" will think about that statement.
.

The unfortunate result of this is that the Bible Scholars themselves, if they are members of this Cult of  Scholars, are destroying the Scriptures through their so-called "knowledge" and great learning.

.

Bible Gateway, the online resource for Bible verses and more, lists 59 English versions which various committees of Bible scholars have made. Fifty-Nine !  The confusion and contradiction is great.
.

In contrast, through the ages the ancient Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures were protected, held in high regard, and considered Sacred Writings. Once delivered to Moses and the Prophets and others, they were not touched.  
.

Targums were written, the Talmud was penned, and many commentaries by the rabbi's and sages were composed . . . but the Sacred Scriptures themselves were considered SO hallowed that they were not touched.
.

 

They handled the Word of GOD entrusted unto them as SACRED; man dared not to touch what GOD had given them.
.

 In comparison, what is happening nowadays, especially to the New Testament ?
.

Whose plan is it to have 59 English Bible versions available, each saying something a little different, each omitting this verse or that, this word or that ?

.

Who is using this Cult of  Scholars to cause such confusion in the HOLY WORD of GOD ?

.

Can GOD'S Word be seen as "immutable", unchanging, Divinely-inspired , and HOLY . . .  being edited and re-edited in format and form 59 times ?

.

All these changes are the work of unholy hands on the Holy Word of GOD. These changes are instigated by those who want to destroy it.
.

Yes, some Bible scholars who love and keep the WORD of GOD as sacred are CRYING OUT to stop this mindless confusion foisted upon the Holy Scriptures.
.

  Regardless of their many degrees and linguistic skills, their cries are unheeded by this Cult of Scholars who are in CONTROL OF the seminaries and religious organizations and translator training institutions and publishing houses. 
.

There is ONE+, however, 

Who+ has heeded those cries.

 HE+ has seen, heard, and already made a judgment upon the situation. Listen to what HE has already said:

And if thou wilt make ME an altar of stone,

thou shalt not build it of hewn stone:

for if thou lift up thy tool upon it,

thou hast polluted it .
